We experienced an unexpected outage on one of our transit provider BGP sessions in Manchester between 2018-04-17 3:05:00 UTC and 3:50:00 UTC due to a software issue with their equipment.
Traffic was automatically re-routed via alternative paths, but customers may have experienced a brief period of packet loss between 3:50:00 UTC and 3:55:00 UTC after the session came back up, but some traffic was still being dropped in the transit provider network.
We're currently awaiting full details of the route cause from the provider and will publish details here once available.
